Cliff Payne, the operations manager, has been in Rockwall since 1985 and has serviced up to 4 generations of local families. He is well known and respected in the area and has built a loyal customer base. CYNTHIA AND KEN STERLING
Cynthia and Ken Sterling moved to Rockwall, TX several years ago to be close to their grand kids. The two are very devoted to their family, faith, and are avid supporters of Rockwall and the surrounding area. Cynthia chose to participate in an early retirement program with Verizon. In her last position as National Product Manager for Broadband services, she was responsible for all Verizon products which Verizon sold for broadband services. She held various positions in a 20-year career at Verizon and its predecessor companies (GTE). At one point, she ran a 400 person call center, so she knows how to respect and treat customers and tries to impart this knowledge to all Horizon customers.
Ken spent thirty years in Information Technology, the last eighteen of which were with Verizon, GTE, and two other phone companies. In a career which started in 1971 (back in the days of giant computers with less power than in a phone today) he was Head of Systems for an 1100 bed hospital system, a contract consultant, Chief Information Officer for an international supply chain, and head of operations for over $7B in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Ken lost his job in a merger at the age of 50. Since he has been unemployed after 9/11, a consultant, started or partially owned a couple of small companies, owned three auto repair franchises and then was lucky enough to move to Rockwall and to acquire Horizon Auto Center and its customer base of so many great people.
